We stand behind everything we sell. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll replace it or give you a refund. Please read "Returns" below for more information.

Completed Bike Repairs

All bike repairs must be picked up within 10 days; any bike left over 10 days will be charged a $40 monthly storage fee starting on day 11. Oversized Bikes (Cargo Bikes, E-Bikes, Dutch Bikes, Tandems, Fat Bikes, etc.) must be picked up within 2 days; any oversized bike left over 2 days will be charged a $40 weekly storage fee starting on day 2.

All bikes left over 90 days will be considered abandoned unless the Customer makes prior arrangements with us.

Local Delivery

We offer Bicycle and Indoor Trainer delivery to select zip codes in the surrounding area. If you're outside of the available area, please contact us to inquire about delivery. Fees will be calculated at checkout. When your order is completed, we will contact you to coordinate a delivery time.

In-Store Pickup - Always Free!

In-store pickup is free for all items, including bikes and oversized products. Most orders will be ready within one business day. Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to transfer from off-site locations. Other items may require extra processing time for assembly. We will call or email you once your order is ready for pickup. 

If you need an item right away, please call us to confirm that the product is available before heading over to our store. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders must be picked up within 10 days. If your order is not picked up, your order will be canceled, refunded, and a 10% restocking fee will be charged.

Shipping (Continental U.S.)

All orders under 4lbs will be charged a flat rate of $11.99*. Free Store Pickup on all orders.

Please allow 5-7 days to ship. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

*items above 4 lbs will be charged according to their dimensional weight.

Returns

If there's a problem with something you purchased from us, you can either bring it to our store or ship it back. Ride Brooklyn accepts returns and exchanges on any unused items in their original packaging with all tags attached. All Bikes, Custom Build Items, Tools, Hardware, Closeout Items, and Labor Fees are non-refundable. Items returned within 7 days of your purchase (Delivery/Pickup date for online orders) will receive a full refund. Cash refunds over $100 will receive a check. Items returned within 30 days of your purchase (Delivery/Pickup date for online orders) will receive store credit.

Returns of Special Orders (for items that we normally do not stock and/or that are labeled At Supplier Warehouse) may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20% plus actual freight costs incurred.

We reserve the right to deny returns that are in any condition other than new. Any items returned that have been installed, used, or damaged may be subject to a 10% restocking fee or will not be accepted.


To return an item from your Online Order, please follow the below steps: 

  1. Email orders@ridebrooklynny.com and include the following information to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA):   
    • Name
    • Order number
    • Specify return type (return, exchange, warranty)
    • Specify the reason for the return
    • If exchanging, please specify brand, model, and describe (color, size, design, etc.) the new item(s). If the exchange item you would like is unavailable, we will issue a refund.
  2. Receive an RMA number following completion of the above email. Your RMA number will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
  3. Box-up the item(s) you are returning with all original tags and packaging.
  4. Print your RMA number in a visible place on the outside of the package.
  5. Insure your package and obtain a tracking number from the shipping company.
  6. Ship to:

The buyer is responsible for paying for return shipping. Shipping charges will only be refunded in full on items shipped in error by Ride Brooklyn.

All refunds will be applied to the original purchaser's credit card once Ride Brooklyn has inspected the returned item to ensure that it is unused, uninstalled, and in original new condition along with the retail packaging. Refund notification will then be made via email. Please note that there can be a time difference between when Ride Brooklyn applies a refund to the credit card versus when your credit card company processes and posts the request.

All merchandise sold by Ride Brooklyn carries the full and original Manufacturer's warranty. All warranty items must be inspected by Ride Brooklyn and/or the Manufacturer of the item(s) to ensure that they are covered under the Manufacturer's warranty.

Backorders

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly "Out of Stock" or "Unavailable" and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only refund you money for the "Out of Stock" or "Unavailable" item(s).

Price and Information

Our website is intended to help you. We make every effort to maintain current, accurate prices in our online catalog. And we strive for similar accuracy and timeliness with the other information we offer here. However, inventory or pricing errors may occur. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any orders where mistakes or discrepancies in price or stock status exist regardless of the error source. Bike Rental Policies

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, INDEMNIFICATION & BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT

Notice - By agreeing to this document in our rental platform (booxi) you may be waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue.

Release and Waiver of Claims; Assumption of the Risk; Indemnification Agreement

In consideration of being allowed to use the facilities and participate in Bicycle Rentals and other activities (collectively the "Activities") provided by Ride Brooklyn Bike & Board Inc. (the "Host"), the Participant, and the Participant's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) if the Participant is a minor, do hereby agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, as follows:

  1. TO WAIVE ALL CLAIMS that they have or may have against the Host arising out of the Participant's participation in the Activities or the use of any equipment provided by the Host ("Equipment"), including while receiving instruction and/or training;
  2. TO ASSUME ALL RISKS of participating in the Activities and using the Equipment, even those caused by the negligent acts or conduct of the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, officers, and/or any entity to which the Host owes a contractual indemnification obligation. The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) understand that there are inherent risks of participating in the Activities and using the Equipment, which may be both foreseen and unforeseen and include serious physical injury and death;
  3. TO RELEASE the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, officers, and/or any entity to which the Host owes a contractual indemnification obligation from all liability for any loss, damage, injury, death, or expense that the Participant (or his/her next of kin) may suffer, arising out of his/her participation in the Activities and/or use of the Equipment, including while receiving instruction and/or training. The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) specifically understand that they are releasing any and all claims that arise or may arise from any negligent acts or conduct of the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, officers, and/or any entity to which the Host owes a contractual indemnification obligation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. However,nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a release for conduct that is found to constitute gross negligence or intentional conduct; and
  4. TO INDEMNIFY the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, officers, and/or any entity to which the Host owes a contractual indemnification obligation, from all liability for any loss, damage, injury, death, or expense that the Participant (or his/her next of kin) may suffer, arising out of participation in the Activities and/or use of the Equipment, including while receiving instruction and/or training.

Photography/Video Release

Participant hereby grants to the Host, its representatives, and employees the right to take photographs/videos of Participant in connection with Participant's participation in the Activities. Participant hereby authorizes the Host to copyright, use, and publish the same in print and/or electronically. Participant hereby agrees that the Host may use such photographs of Participant for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

Personal Responsibility

The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) certify that Participant has no physical or mental condition that precludes him/her from participating in the Activities and that he/she is not participating against medical advice.

The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) understand that Participant's participation in the Activities is voluntary and further understand that they have the opportunity to inspect the Host's Equipment and facilities before any participation.

The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) understand that Participant is obligated to follow the rules of the Activities and that he/she can minimize his/her risk of injury by doing so and through the exercise of common sense and by being aware of his/her surroundings.

If, while participating in the Activities, the Participant or his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) observe any unusual hazard or condition, which they believe jeopardizes Participant's personal safety or that of others, Participant and/or his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) will remove Participant from participation in the Activities and immediately bring said hazard or condition to the attention of the Host.

Binding Arbitration

The Participant, and the Participant's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) if the Participant is a minor, hereby agrees to submit any dispute, claim, or controversy, relating to and/or arising from (a) this Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Claims, Indemnification & Binding Arbitration Agreement, (b) Participant's participation in the Activities, and/or (3) any other interaction between the Participant and the Host, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, to binding arbitration. For such disputes, there shall be a three­ member arbitration panel, consisting of two party-appointed arbitrators (one arbitrator to be appointed by each party) and one neutral arbitrator (collectively, the "Panel"), to be chosen by the party-appointed arbitrators. In the event that the two party-appointed arbitrators are not able to agree on a third, neutral arbitrator, the neutral arbitrator shall be appointed by the United States District Court, for the district in which the Activities occurred. Each party shall pay its own costs, including the costs associated with the party-appointed arbitrators, and the parties shall share equally the costs associated with the neutral arbitrator. The arbitration proceeding shall proceed in the State and County where the Activities occurred, and shall be governed by the Federal Rules of Evidence. The Panel shall establish a reasonable and appropriate discovery schedule to expeditiously resolve this matter. As a threshold matter, the Panel shall confirm whether the Waiver and Release contained in this Agreement are enforceable under applicable law. Judgment on the Award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction over the parties and controversy. Participant and the Host specifically intend this Binding Arbitration provision to survive in the event that any other portion of this Agreement is held invalid. NOTICE TO PARTICIPANT: By signing this Agreement, you are giving up vour right to commence litigation against the Host in a court of law, and you are giving up your right to a trial by jury.

Cancelations

For us to accommodate all Customers the Participant may cancel their reservation up to 72 hour prior to their reservation for a full refund.

Late Fee

For us to accommodate all Customers the Participant will be required to pay a late fee when they exceed their rental. Late fees are charged hourly at $8.75 per hour for Hybrids and and $12.50 per hour for Road Bikes.

To the extent that any portion of this Agreement is deemed to be invalid under the law of the applicable jurisdiction, the remaining portions of the Agreement shall remain binding and available for use by the Host and its counsel in any proceeding.

Information Security

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.

We sometimes use other companies (third-party service providers) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders and delivering packages. They need access to some personal information in order to perform their duties but may not use this information for other purposes.
