Handcrafted in the United States from 3/2.5 titanium, the Sage Skyline is the ultimate performance machine. Leading the charge is a 44mm head tube that adds stiffness and strength. The head tube is mated to a bi-ovalized down tube for increased power transfer and precise steering. The top tube is ovalized and utilizes a sloping design to improve stand over height and further increase front end stiffness. The front triangle is completed with a classic English threaded bottom bracket and a 31.6mm diameter seat tube.
The rear triangle of the Sage Skyline is designed to maximize the properties of titanium while providing the stiffness required of the biggest, strongest riders. Adding to the rear triangle's stiffness is the Breezer style dropouts. Designed by legendary mountain bike pioneer Joe Breeze, the Breezer dropouts provide a larger surface area for the chain and seat stays to attach to. The result is a stronger junction resulting in better power transfer.
The Skyline is compatible with mechanical and electronic shifting systems. For the cleanest routing possible, the Sage Skyline is equipped with our patent pending Cable Clip System (CCS). When mounted, the clip cleanly routes the cables under the down tube- complete with barrel adjusters for on-the-fly derailleur adjustments. For bikes equipped with electric shifting systems, the clip detaches from the frame, providing a wire port for internal routing of the shifter wires.
