Gore knee warmers filled in on the days which I didn't understand the weather very well. As a courier, I need clothes to stand up to contrasting weather and constant elements. I wear jean cutoff shorts with these and I'm incredibly comfortable on most days in the fall and spring. In the winter these go under my pants and provide further warmth. There's simply no alley cat race or alternative choice to these knee warmers.
When I first tried the Knee Warmers, I wasn't sure I liked them. I wasn't pulling them up far enough at first so when I was cycling they would slip down some. Finally I pulled them on tight till the bottom was snug and then pulled my riding shorts over them, they fit much better and no more sagging down. The secret is to make sure you pull them on tight so the bottom of the warmers are tight at the bottom. Then put your riding shorts on and use the elastic of the shorts to hold the knee warmers on. I've worn them on at least two rides in temperatures about 40F and my legs felt comfortable. For much colder rides I would be wearing my full length riding pants.
Fit well Protect well These are the best knee warmers I have been able to find
Knocks off the chill at 50F and still comfortable at 65F. Fits great and long enough to cover the quads for added comfort on cooler days.
When the temperature is between 40 and 20 degrees I won't leave home without Gore knee warmers. Also eliminates knee pain.
